Turn customer bug reports into engineering work items.

Customer-facing teams field bug reports in Zendesk. Engineering needs them as Azure DevOps work items with reproduction steps and customer context attached. Unito links the ticket and work item so resolution flows back to the customer without copy-paste.

Hand off customer bug context to engineering

Ticket subject, description, attachments, and reporter sync into the Azure DevOps work item. Engineering sees the customer context. Status flows back when resolved.

Keep public replies and internal notes on the right side

Engineering diagnosis stays in Azure DevOps. Customer replies sync to Zendesk public replies. Internal notes sync as private comments — or stay in Zendesk only. Flow rules control direction.

Resolve customer tickets when engineering ships

When the work item moves to Done, the Zendesk ticket reflects status. Support sends the reply from Zendesk's normal workflow. The customer hears back as engineering ships.

Frequently asked questions about Azure DevOps and Zendesk

Can a Zendesk ticket automatically create an Azure DevOps work item?

Yes. Flow rules trigger a new work item when a ticket matches conditions like priority, group, or tag. The ticket and work item stay linked for two-way updates from that point forward.

Do internal Zendesk notes stay internal when synced?

Yes. Flow rules decide whether internal notes sync at all, and where they land. Public replies sync to discussion or comments. Internal notes can be excluded or kept as private discussion.

How does priority map between Zendesk and Azure DevOps?

Zendesk priority values (Low, Normal, High, Urgent) map to Azure DevOps priority field values one-to-one. Define the mapping once per flow. Updates flow both ways unless you restrict direction.

Does the integration work with Azure DevOps Services and Server?

Unito supports both Azure DevOps Services (cloud) and Azure DevOps Server (on-premises). The Zendesk side uses the standard API and works with all Zendesk Suite plans that include API access.
