Asana exports to CSV and Excel can refresh from CSV or Power Query. Neither writes back to Asana. Two-way sync that updates Excel rows in place requires a third-party tool.

Yes. Custom fields map to specific Excel columns with direction control per field. Excel-side changes flow back to Asana for the columns marked as bidirectional.

Can one Excel workbook track multiple Asana projects?

Yes. Workbook tabs are mapped per flow. A single workbook can pull from several Asana projects, with each tab holding the data the team or executive needs.

Is this true bidirectional sync or one-way automation?

Bidirectional. Task name, description, status and assignee sync two-way with Excel rows. Flow direction and per-field direction are set separately, so even a one-way flow can still update fields both ways, and each field can be one-way or two-way.

Can I export an Asana project to Excel?

Yes. Unito syncs an Asana project’s tasks, milestones and approvals to Excel rows, with task name, status, assignee and section filled into columns, and keeps those rows updated instead of producing a one-time file.

Can I sync only some Asana tasks to Excel rather than everything?

Yes. Rules limit the flow to Asana tasks with specific tags, assignees or statuses, and every condition on a rule must match for a task to sync. Rules can also trigger actions, such as auto-assigning a synced task to a specific person.
