How do I set up the Jira + Wrike integration?

Can Wrike custom fields sync with Jira custom fields?

Yes. Jira and Wrike custom fields map by type, including dropdowns, numeric, date and text fields. Set each field one-way or two-way; a few fields are forced one-way where the other tool has no equivalent.

Is this true bidirectional sync or one-way automation?

True bidirectional sync. Summary/title, status and assignee sync two-way between Jira and Wrike. Flow direction (which tool creates items) and per-field direction are set separately, so even a one-way flow can update fields both ways.

Can I sync only some Jira work items or Wrike tasks, and can one container feed several on the other side?

Yes. Rules limit the sync to items matching specific tags, assignees or statuses, and every condition must be met. A Jira flow covers one project by default; syncing several Jira projects in one flow needs Unito sales to enable it.

What access or admin rights does setup need, and does it require a developer or API work?

Connecting Jira takes Jira administrator permissions; after that, project-level admin rights are enough to build flows. No developer or API work is needed: setup is point-and-click, and Unito states a flow can be built in minutes.

Does this work with Jira Data Center or other self-hosted Jira editions?

Yes. Unito supports Jira Server and Data Center as well as Cloud. The instance must be reachable over HTTPS via a firewall port, a reverse proxy or an on-premise agent. Self-hosted Jira is a premium integration on Enterprise plans; Basic and Pro customers contact Unito to use it.

Do comments and attachments carry across between Jira and Wrike?

Yes. Comments and attachments sync between Jira work items and Wrike tasks. For most connectors only new comments sync, not edits. Synced comments post under the flow builder’s account by default, with the original commenter’s name shown in the comment.

Why would I want to use Jira and Wrike together?

So each team stays in its own tool. Unito keeps Jira epics, stories and tasks linked to Wrike tasks, with status, assignee, comments and attachments kept in step both ways, instead of copying updates by hand.
